I feel like taking my tapes out from my 1 semester of French in college just so I can live vicariously through you Jill! I'm sure you already know, but you have to try the Cote-de-Rhone. You must ride the paddle boats in the lake at the bottom of the Alps in a town called Ansi (I think that's wht it's called!...ask Mary) You must also see the hang gliders somehwere off a cliff in Gernolble. I think there are hiking trails there too...check with Mary.
