I love writing linguistics papers because you get to insert snarky sentences for examples and no one can call you out on it. For example:
In English, commentary adverbs are placed at the start of a sentence:
Unfortunately, this paper is due Wednesday.

Well lets just see what you get on that paper and then you can say that no one will call you out on it.. the prof. will probably be like, poor choice or example or something.. hehe
